St Laurent
Created by Dr Zweigelt in 1923. A cross from Blauer Portugieser and Blaufrankisch, and mainly grown in the WeinviertalDAC
Tasting notes
Style Dark ruby red; complex aromas of flowers and wood berries in the nose, violets, some plums, a touch of nasturtium elegant fine and dense body with good complexity, and long lasting.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand at the middle of October, and maceration lasts about 2 weeks, and the Blauburger is vinified in old oak barrels, and matures until middle of April
